The “Take-
Dear God, I praise you and thank you for the gift of your presence, love, and life offered to me now. Help me to trust that you are with me, and that I can live immersed in your loving presence and power. I recognize that in order to live in life with you, I have to turn away from life lived without you. I name that this is challenging, because I am used to going my own way. I ask for your strength, power, and assurance to trust the call of Jesus to “get behind” and follow that I would put on the “mind of Christ.” I choose to walk in the Way of Jesus now, taking some time to open myself to you, to receive your forgiveness, and to rest in your presence [take 10 minutes or more to be silent, just seeking to “be” in the Presence of God, and open to ideas or images that may come to you]. I thank you for being with me and alive in me. Help me throughout this day to receive your wisdom that I may live receiving and rejoicing in your presence. Help me in your wisdom to discern how to best share your love, light, and presence with others. I choose you and your way for me. Amen.
